Shouldn't be in Fabrication, but in Adv. XJ Tech.

The YJ rear axle is spring under.. XJ spring over
The YJ front axle is leaf sprung.. XJ coil sprung
They both had the same width axles.

Not a drop in, but cut and weld new mounts and it should fit.
I put a spring under MJ axle in my XJ by welding new HD spring purches and shock mounts on it.
Good luck.

Depends on what it's out of and what's been done to it. Most 9" axles are full width and would be 5-6" wider than a stock axle.

You will have to relocate the spring pads. That should be all you have to do if it was previously in a YJ

I think 4.3LXJ is correct. The spring pad width is narrower on a YJ, but is easily altered.

Where does one find a HP D35? Not that I'd want a high pinion rear axle much less a 35 but just curious.
