Default HYDROLOCKED!

Hey guys, so the other day I went wheelin and went pretty fast through what I thought was a small puddle but it was a mud hole and I sunk and my motor turned off. So I got towed home took the plugs out and cranked the water out and put new plugs in. I also cleaned out and changed the air filter changed the oil twice and flushed my radiator. I got it running but it runs like **** and mis fires. I think I have a bent connecting rod and I might need a new motor. My next step is to check the compression. Has this happened to anyone? It would really help if I have some input on what to do. Thanks guys

Test compression, bit if you actually had eater in the motor you probably bent a connecting rod or even a valve.

cam position sensor under the distributor cap and rotor being wet was the first thing to cross my mind too. also, you probably still have some water sitting in your intake manifold. Learned this when I had to pull my less than genius friend out of this... after a new starter, all new fluids, plugs, cap, rotor, we got it going, and he still drives it every day over a year later. crazy how that water shoots out of those spark plug holes, isn't it? lol

Dried out the distributor cap real good and with wd-40. Did a compression check today. Two of the new plugs were totally black. Didn't think to check them as I was taking them out so not sure what cylinders they were in. Compression was 150, 150, 180, 160, 165, 160. Guess what, I had two spark plug wires switched. The truck runs great! Thanks for the help everyone!!!!!
