Default How much lift?

So I have some 33s I want to put on my xj and I'm just going to trim my fenders up for them to run it stock suspension for until I get my lift in it but what lift should I run to keep from rubbing my body? I don't want to go 4" unless I make it out of a bastard pack and new coils but 2-3" is prefered, just want some ideas, how much lift should I get/can i get before I start getting problems? Like, for a dd and a mud digger

You can run 33's stock if you trim enough and bumpstop !
for your budget you could do a 2" puck in the front Rear Shackles, bump stops

I run a 3.5" Rubicon Express lift with 33's

Here is a good thread that will help you there is tons of great info in it !

If its just a dd and a digger you don't need flex. I had a 2wd with a 2 in coil spacer and 40 dallor shackles that lifted the rear end 2 in I stuffed some 20s on 32s on it rubbed a lil but I also had a 01 classic with extra trim down there. And i lifted it for about 100-120 bucks road good, everything. With a lil trimming you could easily fit some 32s are 33s witch will help lift in just in itself. . I cut and folded my fenders. They look good to me lol

They showed some wear a lil from rubbing but you'll be good with 32s are trimming with 2 in lift for 33s are 33s with no trim and 3 in lift

Also check the back spacings of your rims it may cause rubbing on control arms and stuff if you don't have the proper back spaceings on your rims
