And not I'm not talking about the ghetto... lol How hot does your hood, among other things get?
I got a new IR thermometer and can't stop playing with it. After driving around for about 35 mins, in hot sun, my hood was about 183F....
Front Diff was 97F and rear was 107F
Outside temp 81F
Anyone else's hood get so uncomfortably hot that it can literally burn your skin?

If I am in traffic in direct sun - it gets about this hot;
Unfortunately just not hot enough to get the bacon as crispy as I would like it, for that I need to do some offroading

I bought this one. Paid about that price but it shipped free. When playing with it I put it on my thermostat housing and it registered a temp within reason of what the temp gauge said. Thinking it is accurate enough. At least for what I need it to do.Originally Posted by jshultz78

If you dont know the difference, it seems good.
I compared it to 2 RayTecs. Its not good.
