The frame rails are so clean it looks like this just rolled off of the assembly line

That's how my 90 and 98 are here in Arizona.

 

I would have bet money that was a '97 or '98 till I saw the white sticker on the firewall in the engine compartment,
The gauge cluster says "Unleaded Fuel Only" which I thought was only a '98 and down thing.
And the dome light in there.
Maybe just the way the fleet vehicles are or maybe an early production '99.

 

It’s clearly Yankee money that’s bidding up that XJ. I travel to UT frequently to visit family and always shocked by the ubiquitous clean non-rusted vintage vehicles driving around.

 

These are the rails on an Oregon 88 limited I picked up. Haven’t found a spot of rust yet.

 

Goop up the inside and outside with some Woolwax Black! Wow that’s a nice unicorn rig (for everyone in the rust belt).
