Default High Lift Jack

Father just gave me this awesome looking high lift jack, he bought it about a year ago and had used it once while doing some construction/remodeling. I'm just wondering, is this the pretty standard high lift jack that a lot of y'all out there use? One crank=one notch up, slow, but REALLY pulls.

Not bad for free, eh? Just need to buy some roof rack holding brackets for this now. >

The one pictured isn't a true Hi Lift jack but it does the same thing. And yes it is slow but gets the job done. If your going to be storing it on your roof you will need to have a cover on it to keep it out of the elements and a lock is a must.

Yep, know it's not brand name "Hi-Lift" or anything fancy. But that top clamp/hook spot does turn if I remove that bolt, so I can use it in the exact same way. And yeah, I'm storing it on my Yakima rack, knew a lock was a must, any ideas for a cover???

This is the best pictures I have now (during mock up switched to bigger washers and a smaller bolt) of how you can mount it to your roof rails(rack attachment pieces):

just an idea

It has been going strong for me for over 5 months

You can always go on hi-lifts website and order a cover from them or try and find something similar.
