Default Helppp!!!

Well, a buddy of mine just bought an XJ this morning, the guy told him that the lift was 10", It's definatly not. I read on here earlier how to find out excatly how much lift you have on your jeep to measure from the center of the wheel to somewhere else...etc etc etc....

I cant find that article now and also have searched the site over and over. I may just be blind??

Thanks for any help in advance!

Yeah, I found some specs through google, it just dosent make any sense to me. It says for a 1995 XJ that the stock height from level ground to roof is 64" we got it to level ground and measured and it came out 73" Which is 9" higher, but it just dosent look like its lifted that high to either of us.

I guess ill keep lookin for more info...thanks for your input...

Stock measurements for an XJ from center hub to fender flares are 17" front and rear.

Keep tire size in mind as well. When measuring from the ground, an increase in tire size will effect the measurement was well. I just saw some alternate ways to do it the other day, but don't know where it is. Try the axle-to-unibody rail measurement in this thread:

We measured it up today and it measured out to be 9" over the 17.5 mark.
