Default Help! Won't move!

I pulled my recently-purchased '90 Laredo XJ 4X auto around to the back of my shop to wash the engine, and when I was done, it ran fine, but feels like the x-fer case is in neutral! Won't go into any gear, and when in park, if I don't set the parking brake, I can push it around!

Any ideas?

That's all I can figure. It feels loose and draggy. Problem is it's outside and has been around 100 the last few days. S'posed to cool off by the weekend and I'll look at it.

It could just be a coinkydink, like last month when I put a winch on my YJ, and the rear driveshaft fell out when I first drove it! Only made it about 100 ft. from the house! Had to tow it home with the wife's Liberty.

Except for tires, brush bar, and tire mount, it's stock. 151K Miles.

Hah! Little $3.00 rubber bushing between TC lever and case fell apart when I hit it with engine cleaner.

Replaced and Vroom!

Indeed! I have a trouble-free 2005 Liberty Renegade, a 1989 Wrangler (relatively trouble-free), and now this Cherokee Laredo, that I thought I'd fix up and sell, but you'd have to pry it from my cold, dead hands!

Love the stance, and I'm gonna do things to it. (Don't let my wifey see this post!)
