It's just SO SIMPLE.
Do the harness. Experience the results. Then, proceed on an upgrade path if you feel the need.

Gents!
I just got my H4 Housings in, and they came with some H4 Bulbs. (Low power 12v 60/55W)
I know that if I up the wattage I need a wiring harness. I plan on getting LED bulbs for the housing soon. They are low draw, and do not need a harness.
My question is, do I need a harness on these 60/55W H4's for the mean time? It's about the same wattage as the stock sealed beams, so I wouldn't think so.
I'm pondering just hooking one up for a bit to see, unless you guys tell me to keep my head outta the dark smelly place and not do it. ;o)
I could wait.... maybe....

But once you go to LEDs, there's no point.
I actually got rid of my Putco harness because it was funking up my LED high beam function.

My new canned response:
It's just SO SIMPLE.
Do the harness. Experience the results. Then, proceed on an upgrade path if you feel the need.
And YES, you need the harness for anything above and including the stock lamps!!!!
