I got my housings off ebay, and bought hids from ddm tuning. total cost of 100 bucks. With hids I dont think you need to upgrade the harness which is exactly why I did it.

if your going to do the glass h4 conversion kit.. you need to upgrade the wiring.. so you spend 60$ on the glass piece h4 silverstar bulbs are 21.99$ a bulb, and I think the wiring kit is like $20.. so altogether it makes $130 to do the conversion....
If your going to upgrade go straight to HID kit CarHIDkit.com has a very good kit... $79.99 for HID wiring, ballast, and bulbs, and $59.99 for the glass lenses..The lense you can find cheaper elsewhere..the wiring kit is nice though.. and best part is this kit is SUPER easy to instal, 4 connectors, no splicing.. cutting or anything just click the connectors together mount the ballast and your done.

hey joshman88 i like the price from ddmtuning but um im thinking abut getting 35 watt h4 bulbs 6000k. your saying i don't need the harness? so all i need is the error eliminator and the adaptor cables?

I don't think you need any of those cables or adapters. I didn't buy any and mine was plug and play.
