To the guy that used to own my Cherokee...
Thank you for leaving me two wheel center caps... And only two.
Thank you for the wobbly center council, and the mystery drill holes along the side of it.
Thank you for not removing the rust on the seat brackets, on both front seats.
Thank you for a blown heater resistor, and all the bugs burnt to it.
Thank you for the pool of dead gnats in my overhead light.
Thank you for the dent on my rear hatch, and your **** poor rocker panel repair.
Thank you for removing the bumper under my gas cap lid, that's not annoying at all...
Thank you for ripping off the weather stripping around the hatch, because that's not annoying either.
Thank you for jumping up and down on the roof. I get to go swimming up there after every rain fall.
Thank you for Securing the passanger side fender flare with drywall screws, I fixed it by just PUSHING IT BACK DOWN INTO PLACE.
Thank you for securing my bumper ends with green metal roofing screws, it's trendy.
Thank you for a blown FM radio. I still have it in my back seat.
Thank you for removing the rear speakers, and bezels.
Thank you for removing the A/C vents = more airflow.
Thank you for wiring my e-fan for me.
Thank you for only removing one fog light, and just the lens off the other.
Thank you for the flat leaf springs, makes for a smoother ride.
Thank you for over filling the transmission fluid. I now have leftovers for later.
Thank you for not filling the transfer case.
Thank you for the cracked manifold. I see other weld spots, I think you missed one.
Thank you for the dying CPS.
Thank you for cutting up the carpet to get to the floor pans... Instead of just removing the carpet.
Thank you for changing the oil as needed. Because that's all the really matters.
Thank you for the new Wrangler tires, and the full sized spare in the back.
Thank you for the new u-joints, tail pipe, battery, starter, brakes, ball joints, and rotors.
Thank you for a relatively strait body, minus the cracked clear coat all over the hood. It will look nice with new paint.
Thanks for only charging me $2,100 for 170k miles and working 4x4.

I feel your pain man! Granted, my XJ is 10 years older than yours but, it's still turning out to be more work and money than I initially thought.
The wheels are stained with brake dust and oxidization and despite my efforts to clean them, remain that way.
There's a noticeable lurch after I come to a stop, that wasn't there when I test drove the vehicle.
The body where the left tail light bolts on is damaged (I knew this going in), the rear bumper is bent on that side and the end cover is missing.
The interior is in excellent shape except for a huge crack in the dashboard almost dead center above the steering wheel.
Nearly every single vacuum line under the hood was dry rotted and either patched with a piece of rubber hose or just not connected anymore.
The thing overheated on me about 1 week after I brought it home. I ended up replacing the thermostat, overflow tank & cap, fan clutch and the temp sensor for the A/C fan. Now it's looking like I'll need to replace the water outlet and/or hoses because I'm noticed a little dribble of coolant on top of the water outlet yesterday.
All the tie rod ends and the steering damper are worn out which is not a problem if I'm on a straight level road. The trouble is, those are few and far between around here.
All of the springs are sagging and more so on the drivers side (looks tilted to the left even when nobody is in it) so when I sit down in the drivers seat, it leans even more to the left.
Whoever repainted it (it was bright red and is now a kind of black cherry color), painted right over the tag light lens so now I have to figure out how to clean that off without damaging the plastic lens.
The left OE fog lamp doesn't work, thought it was the bulb, replaced it, still doesn't work so now, I have to chase the wiring.
Right front center cap was missing..........TG for ebay.
Drivers side divider bar seal is trashed and the outer window belt is missing.
That seal that runs down the A-pillar on both sides is dried out and hardened into a snake like shape so I'm getting some serious wind noise at any speed above 35. I just noticed a crack at the bottom of the lift gate, that I didn't see before and so on and so on.
The only high note in all of this is the 4 brand new Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires ($600.00 worth, I checked) that are on it.
Despite all that, I STILL LOVE MY JEEP!

I did spot a 2000 sport at a dealership though, that made me wish I'd held onto my money and just waited till something better came along. 10 years newer, over 100k less miles, good looking paint, 4 door (which I'm learning is much easier to find parts such as door seals for than my 2 door) and a straight, undamaged body.

To the guy I bought it from.....
Thanks for getting the roof painted about a year before I bought it, its nice.
Thanks for the millions of air fresheners that were everywhere in the jeep. What were you trying to cover up? Probably your weed stink.
Thanks for lowering the price by 400 bucks when I found a small hole in the floor.
Thanks for telling me the jeep "leaves a spot of oil on the ground as big as a quarter" I lost a quart of oil a week from the oil filter adapter.
And oh yeah.....thank you for filling the rocker panels with ****ing foam and bedlining over it, you sneaky bastard.
But thanks for the 30 pens and the tape adapter you left me. Came in handy.

To the previous owner of my XJ: I think you should learn how to count. Those things on fuses are called numbers. I had to change almost all the fuses because you are a moron.

Re: 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport
Just wanted to send this memo, that you reminded exactly why you never buy a vehicle from Florida, that spent time in Florida, has a title from Florida or any other aspect dealing with Florida. You have proved the rule!

thank you, one and only owner of the cherokee i bought. you hardly drove over the past 17 years(116,000) and then traded it in. you kept it so clean and i really apppreciate that it still has a headliner. it's stock and has very little features to breakdown, it will be my pleasure to use this jeep in the manner it was meant to be used, i'll tear it apart, lift it sky high and drag it through the mud till i break something and then beef it up somemore.only kidding!
i'll probably baby it too so it lasts me as long as my first two cherokees

thanks for not knowing what the upcountry package is and selling it for less than busted up high mileage ZJs
thanks for replacing all the leather with leather sometime not that long ago. Or somehow keeping the original leather in perfect condition.
thanks for only driving it 21,000 miles in the last 7 years but being **** enough to get every little thing fixed/serviced.
