Default Got some tires....making them last.

Went and picked up 4 30x9.50r15 Cooper Discoverers A/T3's today on some stock rims. I plan on changing to turbines as soon as possible.

Anyway, 3 are probably 70% or so. One is probably 50% or so. I know to put the best two up front. And I would assume to put the worst on the rear that doesn't spin in 2wd. Then rotate the other 3 to at least help them catch the one that's a little further along. I know I'm nit-picking but I can't help my brain is wired this way.

I searched all CL and FB looking for another 30x9.50R15 and 15's are getting kind of hard to find it seems, especially in certain tire. And they no longer even make new 30x9.50r15 Cooper Discoverers A/T3's.

By the way I am starting a build thread tomorrow to document my jeep.

So I got curious and it does seem like nobody has that tire. But I did find this:

https://www.desertrat.com/i-23312127...erer-a-t3.html

It looks like they have one in stock. Of course here is what might happen. You place the order, they whack your card, then you get an email saying that they don't have one, and then it takes a week to get your money back.
I did put in enough info to find out about the shipping charges and it appears shipping is free. But IDK for sure.
So that being said I have heard that you can get tires shaved. My OCD would probably make me buy the one tire and get it shaved down to match the 3.
Or
I would get the 3 shaved down to match the one. But that seems like a waste of money and good rubber.
So I would go with the first option if I were to go down this road. Operative word being if.
I do wonder about your idea on rotating them.
I hope somebody does chime in with an opinion on that.

Just do some burn outs with the new one. More fun than shaving it.

Or just burn out with one of the 70% ones until it’s about 50%. Cheaper
