Default Catalytic Converter keep them on or cut them off

Im thinking bout cutting my Catalytic Converters off of my 2000 xj want are some pros and cons

1 : It's illegal to cut it off.

ok thanks i was kinda thinking bout putting a magnaflow highflow catalytic converter on to match my muffler...r they any good
