Default Got my cage installed!!!!

Just thought I would show you guys. I finally got my D&C extreme cage done. I am very happy with the overall fit and install. I am probably going to add some gussetts and a C pillar hoop sometime, but it is way better than nothing. It is tied into the floorboards, frame(which has been plated bumper to bumper) and my 2x6 slider braces. So it is definitely solid. What do you guys think? NOTE: THESE PICTURES WERE TAKEN WHEN THE CAGE WAS ONLY TACKED IN PLACE. IT IS NOW FULLY WELDED.

I will take some pictures Soon. We sandwiched the floorboard between 2 foot plates. Then the bottom foot plate is welded to my frame stiffeners and my slider braces. The rear hoop foot plates are just welded to the floor they plates are right over the lip of the frame and the shackle mount, so they aren't going anywhere.

Needs more tube. You have no triangulation in that thing. Otherwise a good start.

Like I said. I definitely plan on adding more tube. Probably in the next 6 months. When my wallet permits, but It's a lot better than nothing.

Looks like a solid and well designed start, but I agree it needs some triangulation.

Props to you though!

Got the cage painted. I decided in grey, because it matched the interior well. I have red pool noodles to use for roll bar padding.
