Default driver's seat belt latch/buckle

The driver's seat belt latch has broken it's spring, and I need that short belt with the latch. Anyone got a parts Jeep with one laying around ? I've been checking the local salvage yards here, but no cigar so far. A few newer Cherokees in yards around here, like a couple '99s but no '94s to get that belt from. The '99 type are different...

I had the same problem. My short term solution was to steal the spring from the center buckle in back. It worked fine with the caveat that (if I recall correctly) I wasn't able to hook up the seat belt warning chime contact... THE HORROR!

My short term fix has become a long term fix since I've never replaced the spring in the rear buckle which has become a convenient excuse for never allowing more than three passengers in my Jeep.

Ding, ding, ding.

Your belts don't have the AMC logo, I bet.

Same problem on ours before we bought it. The dealer said it was no problem to find a replacement at the junkyard, so I said then go do it!

They did and swapped them out. The color doesn't match but WTH
