It obviously varied by year but for example, a 1993 XJ sold for between $11,535 (Base, 2DR, 4cyl, 4x2 +$495 destination) and $18,783 for the Country 4DR, 6cyl, 4x4. Same destination charge of $495. Right-hand-drive variants sold for $16,140 to $18,241 and all (in 1993) were 4x4.

You can change the model year in the link above to compare other years.

I would be happy to buy a NEW Cherokee XJ at that price. But it would have to be an XJ, none of this 2014/2015 Cherokee crap.

Man, I wish real vehicles actually still existed on dealer lots.

I wonder where that Web site collects its data from. The price of gasoline?

The price of a Hershey bar today is still the same as the price of a Hershey bar back in 1999 I think?

My '88 Laredo, that had lots of options, was $14,500 new according to the title. I don't know if that is accurate.

There is already a thread asking what you payed for your used XJ. Not a new one. Some of us still have the window stickers. I still find it odd that my XJ was $10K away from a Vette at the time.

Agreed, the new ones ain't got nothing on the XJ. They don't make them like they used to, that's for sure.
