I think I am figuring out my DW. I think it has to do with that my steering box is not braced. I can hear a slight clunk when i turn the wheels but it looks like the bolts are fine and I don't see any cracks. I ordered a inner brace and I am going to order the cross brace as well.

I've got about 3" of trimming on my 88 with 33s. Haven't had any rubbing issues yet.
