Default Front shock bushings help

Hey just got me a 94 cherokee last Wednesday and have started working on it a bit. I was told it had a 4" lift. Locked rear end. Air locker front end. 4.11 gears. USA alloy shafts. 35x12.50x15 super swamper tsl. Well I'm trying to replace the shock bushings in the front shocks on bottom, and I can not get them to work. Bushing will go in. The little bar won't go through just pushes the bushing out.Put the bar through the bushing then try to go in and the bushing won't go in. It's aggravating lol! Let me know what the deal is!

I don't know dude. Maybe use a ball-joint press.

Sounds like a good time to upgrade to bar pin eliminators.

Okay I just checked those out and it definitely looks like time for that. I think I may just build some. Does everyone have problems with those things?

I've installed about half a dozen front shock bushings.

Put one side of the bushing on something flat to keep it from getting pushed through...then put some lube on the bar pin and the bushing and shove it jn

I tried that and couldn't get it. Maybe my bushing is too thick i dont know. But that flat pieces makes it flare way to wide to fit in. I'm going to try and build the regular shock mounts at work today when I get time.
