driving in sand tips ??
I have owned my jeep for little time so dont really now how to drive on 4wd , I went to the beach yesturday , sand was very ugly and I was going about 30 and it felt sometimes like the jeep would drive to the side a little very fast getting a feeling like it was gonna tilt over on its side
is that possible or was it just me getting scared ?
how fast can u go safely at the beach ?
any tips please will be appreciated , I am new at this

the sand was very very ugly and I was driving towards the side where the sad was the most loosen and I saw like some tracks like some one had jsu passed throught there so I was going 30 35 there and it just occasionally felt like it would drift to the side and it kinda felt like it was going to tilt over , no slope

Your Jeep is going to want to follow any ruts or swells in the sane, you WILL move around some, no matter what. It all depends on how the sane is settled on the beach to how your Jeep handles on it

I run in the sand for two weeks on vacation for years. Like it was posted ur jeep will follow ruts just don't do any sharp turn at 30-35. I drop my tire pressure to about 14 psi. You shouldn't tip it unless ur messin around on dunes. Depending on the sand I been up to about 65 on the packed sand. In the loose sand I would stay around 30. Pick a rut a roll with it or make ur own. What beach are u at? Have fun on the beach.

south padre island in texas , and yea I have never gone to the dunes just the beach I go fishing a lot but not I am able to go fishing in places I had never been before because of my jeep , I guess it was just the inexperience made me panic and think I was going to fall on my side , I was holding the wheel straight and it would drift to the side

Yeah since sand is so soft and moves a lot it will move whatever you're driving, just like your vehicle will follow someone else's ruts in mud. Just don't jerk the wheel around or try any autocross like moves and you'll be fine. As for it tipping, that's probably a combo of the natural (gentle) slope of the sand to the surf and a set of ruts being deeper on one side than the other

Yeah man no problem, me and a few friends go out to the outer banks for spring break every year and drive on the beach, it's a blast, be sure you do a thorough wash after you're done to keep rust away
