Welcome to todays used car market. Whether the community wants to admit it or not this is the future of thr XJ. Bring a trailer regularly has vehicles that sell for over market value as well.
yeah, didn't think it would get so high. but up here in canada, not many xj's left that have their rockers still in tact, so to find one as clean as this, it's almost worth that up here, but with the dollar, it'd be almost double that, including duty and taxes. but still cleaner than anything up here
A few weeks ago a stock 4 door went for just over 10k on BAT (not super low mileage, but in impeccable condition). I had secret wager going on in my mind that we would see our first 10k+ stock XJs this year, which means we are quickly catching up with the TJs that have been going for 10k+ for a couple years now.
The pool of near-perfect examples of XJs is shrinking fast. And people want them. The rest is economics 101.
Even though I “paid up” it sounds like there is more meat on the bone...
i paid low 7’s. Because I was looking for a clean vehicle to drive. The previous owner just spent nearly 2,000.00 on general maintenance to make sure all is in order.
In seeing these prices, I am thinking I did not do to bad.
88,000. Miles. From Colorado/Oklahoma he also supplied the photos...
I plan on driving it a couple years.
It will then go back on the market... My hope is that the prices hold up. Previously the bumpers/flares were painted to match. If I can find some nice replacements I will put it back to black as I it came from the factory
Seen post for VIN number search for options... Turns out it has 4.10 gearing...

I bought mine for $5900 about 4 years ago. Low mileage (49k), perfect paint. At the time, I thought I might be overpaying by about $1k. (I rationalized it by telling myself that I paid a small premium for the ultra-low miles). But there weren't many in good shape to choose from, so it's not like I had much choice. Within just 1 year, I no longer felt that I over payed at all. Because examples that were in less condition than mine, with far more miles (2-3x as many) were selling in the same range ($5-6k).
