Default Fitting tires on a (mostly) stock XJ

Not sure if this should be here or in tech.

Does anyone know what the largest tire size (width & height) that can fit on an XJ with stock suspension (not sagging at all) with Bushwacker flat flares? Also what's a good BS to run on the rims?

Currently running stock rims shod with Goodyear 235/75 R16's on it...

None yet... Trying to figure out if the Bushwackers are worth the $$$ or if I should see about fabbing something up.

Looking to be able to fit 31x10.5's or something around that size if it can be made to work.

Maybe for road driving. I have 3" of lift and 31s and mine rub like crazy if I do any offroading.

You have offset rims which bring the tires out of the wheel well more, if he used rims like yours that would require a lot more trimming. If he used the stock wheels however, trimming would be lower but he would probably rub at full lock on the control arms.

Yes that doesn't help but I not only rub on the sides of my fenders, but at the top also. If you don't believe me I will take pictures and show you where I have bent the fenders.

Ouch man I hope you've extended your bumpstops since that happened But actually the tire is basically in the same place at full stuff at 3" lift as stock would be, assuming the bumpstops were left alone.

Nope. Trimming whenever I get off my lazy ***. I'll take all the flex I can get.
