First day of fire academy... poor wagoneer!
So i am going to school to become a firefighter. Today was my first day of class and one of the instrustors was taking us on a tour of the grounds. Well as we are walking around, i look over to my left and see the car that they use for training for car fires. Well..... i realize that it is a old wagoneer! I wanted to get a picture of it for you guys but 1. The instrustors are strict on phones and 2. I dont want to make you loose your eyesite!

I just finished the academy at the end of April and I've gotta take my emt classes this coming fall. I went to an academy through the community college but when I get hired on somewhere I'll havta go through rookie school and do it all over. I've been a volunteer for about 8 years and have loved every minute of it.

Just wanted to thank you guys for your work. I have been in seven car accidents, I was only driving for one of them. But when it came down to the help it was always a firefighter or emt that took car of me. A word to the wise though, if you are dealing with an epileptic wait until they are awake to take their blood pressure. I had a seizure, spared from accident 6 and the emt was taking my bp before I was completely awake. All I remember was someone pulling on my arm and I caught him with a right cross. I felt like **** for doing it but we had a laugh about it on the way to the hospital.

In my city down here in Florida, the city has one of the most sophisticated training centers. I can't remember right, but the reason it's like that is because it's either a Florida Bill or preferred by most cities that every Fireman is an EMT.
