Default fender trimming questions

ive been thinking about trimming my fenders and have a few questions.

will i be able to cut them with just aviater snips or am i gonna have to bring out the old cutting wheel. i feel like i have more control with the snips.

and im worried about the fols that i make coming down or something and slashing a tire. is there anyway to easily get rid of the "tabs" that i make or do i just bend them over hope for the best....thats all i can think of right now but im sure ill think of more questions later

I would use a body saw or jig saw or something along those lines for the best looking cut

I highly suggest using the body trim molding from auto parts stores. It makes a huge difference.

i trimmed my fenders with angle cut off wheel. works great. i do not recommend the auto part store trim instead use dpg offroad perteko trim to cover the cut edges it works great.

I just used a regular little air powered cut-off wheel to cut the slits, and folded them tight into the fender. I've stuffed my tire pretty hard into the fenders and haven't had any problems with the tabs cutting the tire (have bent the fender and tabs though).
