I'm locked on stock gears and shafts. Nothing broke yet. Wheel hard too. My 8.25 will go first.

good to hear it gatchmo. what gears would you run if you had the chance to regear?
I've heard stuff just breaks with the 4.88 and everyone I see that has 4.88 also has chromoly :/

Probably deeper because I'm going bigger. But I'm not gonna waste any more money on the 30 or 8.25

thats what I'm trying to decide. but it's a dd I dont think I'll be happy being undergeared. If I do 4.56 I'll end up with 33's which I'm on the fence about
locked 4.88 and 35's is maxed out for the 30
theres a slim chance for hub conversion and chromoly. but wayyy far in the future
I just dont want to nuke a shaft on every outing. does anyone run that setup on here?

On my old wrangler i ran that set up d44 in the rear with a d30 up front ran 35s with 4.88 Yukon Gears and we could say i wasnt always the nicest to my old jeep but she took the abuse, i never had any issue or break anything for that matter. Id say that youd be fine

yeah I'll only have enough money to do this once so I really need to get it right
if I break something big it might be game over for my jeep thing. and full width isnt an option either
so you would feel comfortable running 4.88's on your setup and still wheeling hard?

and I dont think I'm gonna be the most hardcore wheeler anyway. just crawl until it starts hopping or reaches a limit then pull cable or bypass.
thanks for a positive review I really want that setup. did you have upgraded shafts or ujoints? locked?
