I'm anxious to see these little things on the road.

When an enthusiast says "Is this the end?" it really means sales are going to go through the roof, and the company is doing something right.
Jeep makes zero dollars from people driving $2000 XJ's and buying parts from RockAuto.
These are the last people on the planet you gear your company towards.
Jeep make money from people who buy new $30,000 cars every 5 years.

BMW people said BMW's now suck. Too many gizmos.
You know what? People LOVE gizmos.
Well, BMW sales are at an all time high, and BMW made more sales and income than they have in their entire history.

The may be for Jeep.
People LOVE soccer mom SUVs.
They are good business.
Selling o-rings for $1 to XJ drivers does not keep a company in business.

I'm not worried about it... There will be plenty of cheap JKs from those that do buy a new car every 5 years by the time the XJs become a rarity. I don't think I can go stop light to stoplight here without seeing one

As it sits, that renegade is atrocious and a far cry from the original... but, we have to look at where it could be and not where it is. after all the upgrades/modifications people do, it could possibly look pretty bad apples.

You're right they do, parking assist? Laughable......but some people will just have to have it.

The car navigation screen cracks me up as well, I don't know when the last time I got in a car that I didn't know how to get to my destination, I'd use it once in a blue moon when I'm in another town.

I don't need some robotic sounding androgynous voice telling me to "Turn here".
