ebay wheel spacers
Well I need less backspace on my wheels so I want to buy 1.25 in spacers. I know I can buy Cragars, but I like the wheels I have plus dont have time to remount the tires. I barely drive this Jeep, only to and from wheeling. My question is this : There are hub centric aluminum spacers on Ebay for something like $110 shipped for 4. What could be bad about running those cheapo spacers? Everyone suggest spidertrax but they are double the price . I know I have to install them properly, torque, use locktite and all that. So what couyld be wrong with those ? How could they fail? Why buy more expensive ones?

I bought a set of those a while back.
They were machined incorrectly.
The bolt pattern that goes to the original wheel studs was about 1/8" too larger.
That meant that the acorn nuts didn't sit in the bevels correctly in any of the holes.
I ended up sending them back and ordering spidertrax adapters.
IMO, a spacer isn't something to go cheap on.

I also ran some cheap spacers/adapters on my 98 when I ran JK wheels. Dont know if they were the ebay ones but the damn threads on a couple of the studs started to strip.

I have the backspacing in my wheels already, so I've never used them to say anything about them.
