don't make a bad situation worse bud... a lie only covers another lie... i've seen and heard enough about this situation to say that unless you have only one friend that drives an XJ, more than likely SYE has been needed for above 3" lifts.
next time you give advice, just keep in mind that people will be driving this thing on the highway with their families... someone might take your bad advice seriously...

from some of my recent experiences you can get away without the sye with a 4.5 and 35 thats the way my buddys xj is but i personally would NOT recomend it at all its better to be safe then sorry if you ask me
