Default Jeep XJ Fleet Use

My Jeep was a government fleet vehicle for the city of St. Louis, MO. I've always been curious as to what exactly it's use was to determine how badly it has been abused. It came to me stock with two CB radio screw mounts in the front of the roof by the windshield, a couple holes drilled in the lower dash, a full size spare, A/C, the 4.0L, a tow package, and 4wd. Other than that, it's the regular old Cherokee SE.
It looked almost exactly like this when I got it.

What I find odd is that it had only 66,000 on the odometer when I got it, which is really low for a fleet vehicle and leads me to believe that it wasn't used for any type of police service.

Any Ideas on what it was used for? I really want to know!

I have one from New York that I got with 110,000. I can tell they used for road work because my interior has little spots of the yellow paint they use on the road.

Wow that really sucks that paint is in there lol. Mine has a big crack in the vinyl on the side of the driver's seat, and my driver's door hinge has been welded back to the door frame. That's really the only evidence of abuse for mine.

You could be lucky and just have one that the town only used for certain things so it may not have been used often. Like our local PD has one and the cops say people rarely use it, but it's in bad shape cause they never take care of it.

Mine was a govt jeep down in D.C and came with 44k on it. I looks like it was maintained pretty well and the only thing wrong is a huge cigar burn above the pass sun shade.

Fortunately it's only in a few spots, otherwise it would really suck.

Yeah my town's police department has a 97-01 police XJ. From what I remember, the Jeep has been in the police fleet ever since the late 90s when I first saw it. It's been somewhat well maintained because it doesn't have any rust yet. Its rarely used too, I see it once every 2 months or so. My guess is they're gonna retire it soon
