Default Dose it look as described?

Does this Jeep have a 4" lift with 33" tires?
Is it worth the deal?
I'm going to see it tomorrow and drive it so I'll update on how it works.

Check for rust.

Looks good for year. I would say its not worth too much in the 'D.' And those tires are going to rub for sure. And why 17" rims?

I'm trading my car for that one (hopefully),
so your saying its not worth it?

I forgot to add, it's got 150k miles,
party RC lift(apparently bought this way, whatever that means)

IDK about the 17", I like 15's the more tire the better
I'm planning to eventually do all the supporting mods to run 35's, as though I'm now to the Jeep world, I still got a lot of reading to see whats what.

hard to tell from the pics but i would assume metric size tires so probably not a true 33 x 12.50 more like a 32 but look for rust check under the carpet in the rear this is a common spot for rust and under the seats plus crawl under it and look around and dont fell to bad about offering less for it. if it looks strange or not fully as described just walk away there are millions of xj in America

Thanks a1racer, I will check that out for sure. A lil rust wont hurt, but thaks for pointing out the areas to check out. Any other things I should check out while at it? beside the usual engine inspection, rust under it, on the pannels? Thanks for the help guys, I cant wait to own my first SUV and do some offroading, but like a1racer mentioned there are mill's of xj's so I'll be patient (but its so hard to be)

150k isnt bad for a cherokee especially if you consider its age there is another 100,000 miles left in most of those strait 6's.

About your tires, I put 32's on my stock and sure I get a little rub but its worth it you really only notice in the tight turning. To big and you can launch the tire to the wheel well and you will be bending you door frames back.

I think It looks solid and well maintained go for it....

just check over everything really good. You never mentioned what your trading or what the value of it is. I wouldn't give much more than $2 for the xj if its in awesome shape. You can pick those up not lifted for around $900 all day and do the lift yourself. Not saying its a bad deal, Its a good looking jeep, just make sure you don't spend to much money on the front end. Be sure to check the door hinges as well they are bad about being worn out and having to be rewelded

X2...you dont have to look hard for an XJ under a grand...i agree that i wouldnt pay a dime over 2 grand...in fact i would probably not go over 1800...and thats if it runs great with no rust...

thats just my 2 cents...heck ive seen plenty of the newer style XJs (1997-01) with around that mileage for 2 grand....

and i gotta say, i do not like thost 17 inch wheels...just doesnt look right to me

The value is about the same, it's just I put alot of money and hard long hours into this car I'm trading, I was also thinking to sell it, get cash, and buy an xj with enough left over to buy a lift kit and possibly SYE and D-shaft, but I dont have money so a equal trade seem good for me, especially that I'm really wanting an XJ
