Default Does this look like a good buy?

I'm thinking about buying this jeep but I need an opinion from people who have jeeps themselves.

It's a 1989 cherokee laredo ad only said high KM's so i'm thinking in the 300 000km range with a 4 inch lift they said all it needs is an alignment because of the lift and everything else is in good conditon.

My plans are to make it an awsome wheeler but also bring me to and from work during the week.

there asking 800obo i'm thinking of offering 600 and im going to see it tomorow night.

Thanks

that one's not for me. I've had a $600 rig and an $800 rig
1989 and 1991. it's just constant parts going into the engine
if you're prepared to only have that jeep for about a year (the average life of one of my jeeps lol) then get it
I personally hated my 89. I mean I loved it of course but I wasnt too upset when it had to go

so I would only buy it if you dont put a single dollar into it. just wheel it as is till it breaks. leave the pink in the glove box where it dies (scrap it)

If you can get it for $600 then sure! but to me maybe it's the lift/tire ration but that doesn't look like a 4" lift to me. Also I have an 88' same color but 2 door laredo and I love it

For 600$ its a no brainer. I mean how amazing is it that you could get all this stuff (it has an engine, wheels, trans, doors, heat, radio etc etc etc) for less than a price of a couch. Get it. Any car that drives and costs less then a tooth filling is a great deal.

Buy it for $600, clean and detail it, sell it for $1000.

...did that once with a '91 2D.

ok after hunting for a while I have found 2 potential jeeps (apparently there not as easy as I thought to find on Vancouver Island)

Jeep #1

1988 cherokee runs great, 3.5 inch lift...bfg mudders, new alternator, new starter

jeep #2

1996 cherokee 4X4 , 4.0L , AUTO, 234,00KMS ,NEW RAD , NEW BRAKES ALL AROUND A/C JUST RECHARGED LAST WEEK JUST GOT 4 WHEEL ALIGNMENT DONE, INTERIOR GOOD SHAPE, REAR SOUND BAR

Both are asking 2200$ but are willing to let it go for 1500$

Which one should I go for?
