Ok this I just found randomly seeing what is out there it's not quite what i'm looking for but i need your opinion should I wait and find a 90-95 HO V6 or should I get this 97 V8 picture isnt the greatest

1997 jeep grand cherokee limited

5.2lt 4x4 about 280,000 kms on it...power everything...engine runs good....4x4 works fine...has a bit of electrical work that needs to be fixed...AC does not work...rear wiper does not work. Rad was replaced about 7 months ago with all new hoses....has been a great jeep for us but needs some work we don't want to do. We are asking $1500 obo

the owner said he has a new set of brake pads that hell throw in the deal pretty much just the rear wiper and one heated seat doesn't work everything else works

it also have a new rad and new control arms

they wanted 1500 i offered 800 but there firm on 1000$

I'm pretty sure (havent done my research) that the grand cherokee has the most limited aftermarket
it may be more expensive if you were planning on a bigger build. keep that in mind when purchasing
I cant say anything about zj/wj. I'll never own one. but it did take me 6 months to find each of my xj's. be picky

Thumbs up

alright after talking with my wife and getting an earfull about the V8 and gas and all that other stuff I decided to stop looking for a while hopefully something would pop up later on.

next thing you know this guy I emailed whos was selling his 89 for 1500$ and I lowballed at 700$ replied saying if I cant pick it up by the end of the week it's mine for 750$ so here it is.

1989 jeep cherokee limited edition

auto, 6 cyl, 4.0L, leather interior with no rips looks great

power locks and power windows stoped working tho but cant be that hard of a fix.

i'll let you know if I get it

87 renix here at 290k miles... Runs like a champ, pulls hard, never gets stuck, what is there to hate about it.. The HO only has 20 more hp and I have never ran into a point yet that I went ****ttt really wish I had 20more hp. I can accelerate on the highway just fine and hold 75+ down the freeway.

It's not about the horse power. 20HP is hardly noticable.

It's about the engine management system. Afterall, that's what's different between the two...

You can't tell me the Renix is better than HO. If Renix were superior why did Jeep change over to HO and stick with it?

I have an 88 Renix Jeep in my yard. That thing required 3 times the work as any other I have.

Good news!!! I may have found a winner!! I decided to just randomly check the listings and 1hr before I cheked it was posted.

it's a 1991 with 185 000km!! standard 4.0L with the High output!! double score!! has 31 inch mudders and he says it has a 5 inch lift but I dont see that on the picture maybe it's just the picture but if it does that would be cool i'm going to see it friday and if all is good buying it for 1100$ all it needs is a new universal joint wich are really easy to do.
