I think that might be my problem. I have normalish tires, stock rims and no lift. The only evidence of my "Jeep Waverdom" are my new stickers and the "mataburros" bumper the OO put on the front. Maybe that's why I don't get many returns then?

I wave at all jeeps. From one finger lift to fingers with hand on wheel, to full mad fool arm out the window wavin. Get varied responses from varied jeeps, most return the wave and many initiate it. Find myself even wavin when driving wife's car, she thinks I'm a nut, I am, but I'm a jeep nut.

I only wave to Jeeps that are modded, However I usually don't wave to JK's unless they wave first. Majority of the JK owners here traded in their 5 series BMW's for JK Rubicon with 6" lifts and 37's an never leave the pavement.

I wave at all XJs, TJs, YJs, and CJs, and only lifted ZJs, WJs, and KJs. I normally get a wave back from drivers of those Jeeps, the Libertys are iffy though. I've pretty much given up on waving to JKs as I've never once gotten a wave back no matter what Jeep I was in.

My wife thinks that I'm crazy but I do it. Hardly get a wave back. But I have retuned them though. I only wave to XJs though. Everyone and their mother drives some Jeep brand vehicle here. You have to see it to believe it lol. I even wave to the carnation pink XJ that's here.

Here most people wave. Almost every jeep i have waved at wave back or wave first but the town im from in is roughly 1000 people so all the farmers and most people take backroads. My gf calls it the country wave cuz its more than just jeeps.
I do wave or flick the high beams twice.
Most of the time it's to any jeep that's modded. (***** the stockers LOL) JOKE!
many of them return wave or hit the lights.

I throw a "sign of the horns" wave as a jeep wave and if your cruising in a stocker xj your probably not gonna get any jeep waves, hell I rarely get them on my built xj. Jeep waves are more of a wrangler thing, I cant remember a time not being waved at when driving the YJ.

I may be old fashioned, but on the trail I wave at anyone that comes my way; it doesn't matter what I'm doing, rock climbing, hiking, wheeling, snowboarding, etc. It's a friendly way to say "hey, we enjoy the same stuff." On the street, different story.
