Diy beadlocks
Just picked up some ballistic fab beadlocks and was wondering if grade 8 is a must or can you get away with cheaper hardware considering there are 32 bolts per rim and for rims equals 128 bolts and nuts.

I've been reading that the grade 8 bolt won't break but will bend and make removal hard to replace. And that grade 5 holds up pretty well.

lurk around on pirate 4x4 and once you read a few of them youll have no problem using grade 8 bolts....

Personally I would not deviate from Grade 8 hardware when it comes to these. I rather a bent bolt than a stretched or snapped bolt. That is if your pushing it hard. Mild trails, you may get away with less but I'd choose to spend the cash and do it once

Use a metric class 12.9 rated bolt. There even stronger then a standard grade 8 bolt. A metric class 10.9 rated bolt is the equivalent to a standard grade 8 bolt.
I used all metric class 12.9 rated bolts in my suspension when I re-did my suspension.

If you never drive on public roads, and this is for a trail only rig use anything you want, but don't cheap out if you drive on public roads and get someone killed, or seriously injured just to save a little cash. Grade 8 or better is what is called for and what should be used.
