Has anybody swapped a diesel engine into a Cherokee? Ive always wanted to swap a small block cummins crate engine into mine.

Yes, its been done. A 4BT will "fit", but its a lot of work.

I want to OM617 swap mine down the road and run it on veggie waste fuel so I can laugh at Tesla drivers for not being as sustainable as me lol.

I can do that now with my stock gasser Cherokee running regular gas.

My petrochemical fueled engine is not causing horrible pollution and environmental destruction with the production of my battery and the disposal of same battery at some point in time. Not to mention the nasty environmental damage caused by so-called "green" electricity.

Agreed here BlueRidgeMark.... yes as a finished product does a full electric car outshine fossil fuel?.... well you don't need a calculator for that kind of math for the impact on the planet.... after the fact.... but the amount of environmental damage in the production of electric vs. old school petrol... is night and day. They can take their so-called "green energy" in that respect, put it in their pipe and smoke it.... oh wait... they cant... that's more pollution in the air.. lol
