Default Dana 35 Differential Cover

Guys, I need some help. I'm trying to find a good, but CHEAP differential cover for my Dana 35. This is most likely going to be what I buy.

After shipping you could almost get a 8.25 instead..

I don't have time or money or space to do an axle swap. Just sticking with my D35.

You're looking at the cheapest good diff cover there is. What do you need help with?

You really should consider an 8.25 swap, it's bolt in, easy to find and loads better.

Why would you waste $ on THAT axle? Lottery? Before I spent $70+ on a cover for a Dana 35, I'd get a axle I actually wanted to protect. Seriously.

Go to the JY & get 3 or 4 stock covers & pay them $20.

I have a Solid cover for my 8.25, it's nice but I had to bore out a couple of the holes a little with a drill to get those 2 screws in, no big deal.

If you have space and tools to change the diff cover a fully bolt in axle could be done.

How about this?

Not a cover, but a skid plate. It'll get you by without wasting more money on the D35. What size tires are you running?

I'm running 31"s for now.
And that skid is the same price as the cover I looked at.

Why do you need a heavy cover in the rear? Are you crawling rocks in reverse? Hahahaha
I have a solid cover for my 30,

No, I'm not crawling in reverse. I gotta change the gasket, and I may as well get a better cover at the same time.
And it can't hurt to have a heavy duty cover, especially when your friends don't pay attention while driving it.

What the heck are you talking about? My rear diff cover is thrashed. If I still had a stock cover in there, I would of ripped it open a long time ago.

OP, I would say swapping in a 8.25 would be a better idea. If you're dead set on keeping your D35 the Solid cover isn't a bad investment. If you do ever swap in another axle, just sell the cover to a Wrangler owner and recoup a couple bucks back.

I guess you have never had a cover peel at the lip yet, or dented a rear cover when backing into a rock to reposition to get a better line up front.
