Through all the disagreeing. You said it kept shutting down, so I would take care and check out the throttle and intake, plus you said the air box was wet. Just follow holycavemans advice (others also) about what to do and you should be fine as long as there was no loud clunking noises when you revved it up.

I would bed line the floors, if your gonna be hitting holes in it lol!!

definitely going to be offroading more with it but not without a winch, lift and bigger A/T. although i like the idea of bed lining its still going to be my DD since i'm in high school and its about $150 to bedline or new carpet for $260.

what do you guys think about the electrical connections? remember it was in water for 10 hours

I mean yea, would be great to take every connection apart and die electric grease it. However I would make sure everything else is fine first.

Winch makes things easy but its not a cure all. I have more success with a high lift jack and a lot of recovery equipment.

look at that hole. where would your winch be? and where would you pull to? there are nice to have, but sometime other equipment is better.

You could bedline for rust prevention and re-install your carpet after cleaning it. Best of both worlds

The best thing about a high lift jack compared to a winch is its an emergency item. In other words, it keeps you honest. With a winch I would say, "screw it, I am going for it, if I don't make it I will just winch myself out" With a high lift jack its different. Instead its "I know I can get myself out, but.....dang, that's a lot of work!" LOL

Not to mention there is always a chance the winch will not work. Have seen it happen quite a lot. High lift jack is hard work, but it will always get the job done.

might want to rinse the radiator too. Alot of muddy water had time to settle the suspended dirt in the fins of your rad overnight. Don't want to overheat it.

ive had mine deeper than that when it was stock, as for the internals and fluid checks, to each their own, everyone has their preference. for the smell...good luck, mine was like that over 3 years ago and still smells to this day like a swamp (good thing its only a parts truck now). best of luck man

good news I guess. bought a new battery and connected it up. all the lights work inside and out, radio, gauge, etc nothing wrong so far which is good. even the driver side speaker works even though it was half under water.

But I have a question, what is that little computer/module under the center console arm rest? I doubt it's the ECU but is it an airbag module?

I don't believe the previous owners changed the spark plugs to often either..
