Default cutting dash bezel

Has anyone cut the dash bezel in half? Searched around and couldn't find anything. Was thinking about cutting it just to the left of the lighter to give both sides some screws to hold them in.

You're doing mods in the wrong places. Unless you're trying to fit a double DIN.

No double din, was just wondering if anyone had to make it easier to get off.

it already comes off if you pull on it... how much easier does it need to be?

A 96 has six screws that secure it. But still very easy to remove.

The 96 is a pain. You almost break it getting it off

Ya, the screws and tabs are easy, its just getting it around the steering column. Even with the casing off of it, its a pain.

The real question is why are you taking it off so many times that you need to make it easy? I've had mine off like 20+ times and it's still in one piece....

I've gotten removal down to about a minute on my 95 *same setup as the 96*. It is annoying but just remember even if you do break it there are tons more in the junkyard.

Trash it and make a sheet metal bezel.
