Did you use a gun or rattle can? I'm assuming a gun?

this doesn't tell you much since it's an after photo

but the bumpers and side panels were all burned to hell from the sun and 19 years... rattle can Forest Green Pearl and you honestly can't tell it was redone. Had some left over and didn't feel like masking...so painted over the gold stripe and bumper guards as well.

Hood... different story. you def need a ladder or something if you want to rattle can at the right angle. but looks better than it did. Didn't care there either, did a bit of rubbing compound and a bit of 2000 grit to make the peeling clear coat smooth then just covered it so it's not gray anymore. Painted right over some of the three sap.

Quote: I've read roll on makes it easier to do outside, and can come out just as good given the amount of finish work you put into it.

However, I was in Big Lots the other day and found several small tarps for cheap money. I was wondering if maybe I can set up some kind of temporary paint booth outside with it. Kind of like a cubical with a roof?
Bad idea with the fact it is a toxin

I have the three guns on the left that I paid $500 for each one, The blue is a $400 dollar primer gun. The other two on the right are cheeseball piles of garbage. I'm a custom high end painter.

Here is another Cherokee I painted for a lady here in Arizona for free... Well, she bought the materials. Here is the before and after.

70 hours of hard labor to make it like this...

Nice to see a different shade of green! Looks especially good with the wood panels.

Time for some urban Camouflage
I've always been a Toyota 4Runner guy.. My last one was a beautiful custom This one had a $1,500 green, brown, tan wrap. A lot of money was spent on this Vehicle. So 3 years ago on Thanksgiving someone flew through an intersection and hit me and the four family members in my truck. The truck was demolished and my family suffered multiple injuries that were still paying for today.
After the 4Runner was a total loss the insurance company did give me a whopping $7000.

I went looking for another 4Runner with low mileage and a good price, but everyone was jacking up the price. Or didn't have clean titles…I searched for months even out of state with no luck. Unbelievable! So I started looking at other vehicles. A lot of my friends had Jeeps. This would be my first one. A 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo that was sitting in an old man's garage. It was in Immaculate condition with only 89,000 miles on it. After looking at five different Jeeps. This Grand Cherokees is going to come home with me, because the price was great. $3980.
You're probably going to ask why. This sucker is going to get a rattle paint job.

I'm going to do a bace paint of bright orange..with black, yellow and coffee brown.
The only thing that will be gunmetal black will be the grill, bumpers and everything else will have camo.
Thanks for having me in this group. I look forward to many conversations about the WJs.
