I'm happy with my white one, but if I were going to completely change the color, I really dig the Bushwacker XJ done in Rescue Green Pearl. Very sharp, and takes the classic shape of the XJ and modernizes it a bit.

They way I see it... If you intend to put another 5+ years on your XJ, if it's a daily driver, get it painted. The 4L will outlive these bodies if not taken care of. I intend to get mine done professionally come next tax season. It needs it.

Mine has been a few stages all are rattle can. I need to do some touch ups for the overspray (extreme wind makes painting out doors hard) but here we go start to finish

first is stock

This took me 120 hours to paint, color sand and buff... to this... Then I scratch it, and wheel the Jeep into the ground.

I've read roll on makes it easier to do outside, and can come out just as good given the amount of finish work you put into it.

However, I was in Big Lots the other day and found several small tarps for cheap money. I was wondering if maybe I can set up some kind of temporary paint booth outside with it. Kind of like a cubical with a roof?
