Default Custom front Grille idea, advice please.

As title I've acquired a nice piece of stainless steel perforated sheet it has 10mm holes approx 20mm apart, I'm thinking of gutting out the vertical bars in my front grill and replacing it with this and then getting a Jeep stencil made and spraying Jeep across it in red, my Cherokee is black and I'm working on a black and red colour scheme including red interior lighting.

My concern is is my engine going to get enough airflow through this not to overheat & how can I mount it in the back of the grille frame ?

Any ideas from you clever guys would be appreciated.

Martin

Cooling shouldn't be much of an issue but I think it would look kinda ricerish and just thrown together

I don't see where you want to cut the grill if you just cut the bars I think it is going to look bad just put behind it try to take some pictures to show how you want it to look

Like how the Honda guys put the mesh behind the grills Imo it looks like crap but not my jeep to each they're own, but I do see what you mean with the gmc thing. Kinda like the denalis but I do think it'll look to flat and just would look good unless you do it perfect and plus the verticle bars and what jeeps are known for they've always had em and always will but I'd like to see what you do or what your thinkin about doin

I used mesh from a oldschool tv satellite dish lol, painted it blue, used appoxy to fasten the mesh to the grill, turned out ok i think, havent noticed any change in engine temp.

You should cut out the little bars on the inside! It would look awesome like that!
