I've been paying special attention to small parts on my XJ since It hasn't been my DD in over 3 weeks. Next thing I want to tackle is the overhead console. I got it out of a ZJ and never bothered to hook up the trip computer, but I think I may turn that space into a switch panel. If all else fails, I may just make a new overhead console myself.

What have you guys done about overhead consoles? Post pics!

You know i dt have an overhead console but i have always thought about building one and running my wires to it just so i can have all my swithches above me plus it owuld look bad *****

 

My xj has one of those consoles and my plan for it is to re locate the buttons for the direction, temp and fuel economy to right in front of the display for them and where those buttons were I'm putting in a volt meter for My dual battery set up that I'll be running because it's all ready slanted towards me! My buddy gave me a Rockford fosgate one the other day b/c he knows about my plan for the battery! And where that funny push thing is where you are supposed to keep you garage door opener ( at least I think that's what it is ) I'm going to turn into switch central so inorder to do this right and make it look good I have to do a bit of plastic cutting and pasting and a bit of bondo then go over it in truck bed liner to make it look good! Will post pics when ever I get around to Doing it.
