It's no big deal really.... I was able to build my own cup holders and CB mount where I wanted it. Also I don't need an arm rest.. I usually have my hand on the shifter or on the wheel.

The center part would only get filled up with crap... and then it would only be useful as an armrest... which as I mentioned I don't need.

Of course if my XJ came with one, I probably wouldn't want to go without it either... haha.

ha yeah they do get filled up with crap, right now mines filled all the way up with stuff that i just dont feel like finding a better place for. yeah and usually i only drive with one hand and drive 90% highway so my hands off the shifter most time.....kinda wish i had got the tough box or whatever that locks and has cupholders on it...

Well, here is the new and improved version, INSTALLED. It fits very good and will not tip over anymore like the first one. I shipped one to SMTIPPIN's dad today so hopefully we'll know soon if it will work in a 5 speed or not.

Glad to see it installed... with the original picture it just looked too wide when I compared the amount of room to the room between my seats. I have just enough room that I can place a Drink Car Carrier (that you would get from a fast food joint) that holds 4 drinks between the seats with the parking brake handle holding it down. With a drink on each side that wasn't enough room for me to reach down to pull the handle up.

With the holding being that far forward I can see a problem with shifting as my arm would try to occupy the same air space as the cup there...

I still like it though.. and hopefully SMTIPPIN's Dad will take some pictures with it in various locations along the trans tunnel and give a good perspective on it.

How much. Although I think I would want mine in black... Also how long did it take you to make that? Also on one of my previous posts I realized the strap wont work in my 4x4 because that is where the t-case shifter is.
