So I just read the thread on making your own cowl hood. I want to do that one when I go home for Christmas, except with ram air also. I need some help designing a good ram air hood for an XJ that doesn't look ricey or stupid. One that fits the body lines and all that of an XJ. Any ideas? I'm thinking an opening about a foot wide and an inch tall that goes to maybe 2 inches tall by the windshield. I'd like to figure out a way to make it true ram air, too. My hood is jacked anyways because someone screwed up the paint by leaving wax on it. I figure it will be a good guinea pig. How about photoshop people post up some ideas? thanks!

here's the reflexxion hood:



There's kind of a downward curve toward the front of the hood. Instead of putting that curve there, it could be the ram air, and just leave it flat for about a foot and then put the raised part of the hood.

i think this is pretty close to what i'm thinking, except the raised part be where the cherokee hood is raised already, so it's not too busy:
