Default corner lights, clear or smoke?

i was looking on ebay for some clear corner lights and someone had told me earlier to get smoked ones since my jeep is black on black. Has anyone ever heard of getting pulled over for them in NJ?

I am getting a black 99 Cherokee like yours just mine will be a Classic and I live in WI and I wanted to get smoked corner lights for it.. just dont know how much they would cost me and all.. But seems like your ebay link would be the cheapest. I doubt any cops would even notice the lights since there the same color as the vehicle haha

I personally have always liked the look of the clear corner lens myself. It gives it more of a 'euro' vibe than the smoked, in my opinion.

But best of luck with your choice!

I just used a can of VHT Nightshade on mine. Just remember you gotta give the lenses a good clear coat too, Nightshade comes out flat when it dries. Altogether it cost me $15.00 to do my front corner lenses and my taillights. Plus there's enough left in the can that I could do my front markers as well shoudl I ever decide to. Sorry it's a pre 97'...

What's nice about the Nightshades is that you can tailor the amout of smoking to your tastes, from just a little color, to completely blacked out if you want...
