im pretty sure 91-96 tranny ect. plugs are different than 97-01 and like i was saying on the front axle swap the axle will work just being its the same gear as ur rear end but keep in mind i went from a 93 to 97 front axle and i swaped over the brake rotors and calipers and i had to use to 97 brake hose as mine wouldn't line up but if u have a donor u should be good

 

Cherokee (XJ) 97-99. NO Grand Cherokee! Thet have different transmissions and low pinion front axles. Try and stay with the years I mentioned-less hassle. Someone else mentioned gear ratio. If you get a complete donor rig, swap in the rear as well,that way you'll have the same gear ratio front and rear.

 

Just found a bunch of parts from a 1990 xj will these work? It says hp front dana 30 vac disconnects and they have the trans case and everything else cheap.. Arent they bolt-in?
