Default Chilton or Haynes?

Did a quick search and nothing popped up. If I some how missed a thread on this feel free to throw me a link.

I don't know if there is a difference between the Chilton and Haynes manual. I want to make sure I get the right one. Is one more detailed over the other? Or are they about the same?

Thanks,
Jon

I have heard that both may not cover enough detail in different areas.

You will probably get replies recommending finding a Manufacturer Service Manual for you year. (MSF) I found one on Ebay for $40. Electronic versions may be less. Very much worth the extra cost.

I'm already on the hunt for one. I have an electronic one, however with is neon on the computer, it's kind of difficult to look something up on the fly. I figured I will keep looking for a physical FSM and use a Haynes or Chilton in the meantime.

That's what I have it's great for printing out what you think you'll need before you dive into a project but when you are away from the computer and just need to look up something small a physical manual is a lot easier.

Thanks for the link. I have the print Engine, Chasis, and Body for my '91, but not Electrical. Your link does not have a listing for '91, but I would think '90 would be close enough.

Haynes is the worst, but, seems to be more common, I agree with everyone, go with the FSM

Well thanks for the help guys. I knew I needed an FSM but I am having a hard time finding one. And looks like I am stuck with one. I ordered one from Barnes and Noble and they told me it was delayed so I canceled the order 3 times. But they still decided to ship it to me and charge me. I have had to many problems for it to be worth my time to return it lol.

Thanks!
