cherokee falling apart
I own this Jeep cherokee for quite a while, it is 19 years old and has 240000km. It is the worst car I ever had in the last 50 years....compared to many other vehicles I owned and used. I'm now looking for a few people who would like to learn by rectifying the faults. About every component from the vehicle gave up, from the remote control, steering, engine and many attachments to the engine, airco., doors, fuel pumps, the body, suspension, just about everything. I consider it a "school on wheels" for mechanics.
candidates can contact me.

240,000 is a good run. Since everything fell apart it must have been corroded and rusted out, which can also cause electrical issues.
My 20 year old XJs have been the most dependable vehicles, with no major malfunctions, just normal vehicle maintenance.

LOL
Scrap that crap
My XJ is damn near 20 years old, and it's been one of the best vehicles I've ever owned.
Sounds like yours is a poorly maintained POS. Neglect will kill ANY vehicle.
Also, if you want any kind of response you were looking for, more info would help...like where are you located, (since you listed km instead of miles, I'm guessing not the US, lol) what year, you know, stuff people need to know. Or post in the regional section.
...but it really sounds to me like you want people to come fix your junk for free...
I'll give it a chance, but if this thread goes the direction I think it's going to go, I'll trash it

Jeep Cherokee falling apart
Hi Guys and Galls who commented on the worst car I ever met ....
this vehicle had 2 owners. It was used for 90% on good roads, it is not rusted because we live on the "highveld" where it's dry....so NO corrosion.
My wife says it is over-fixed?? what can I do, all breaks down!!!...has to be fixed!!! I had it serviced by professionals according to the book and it is still the worst piece of car I ever owned/used. A well maintained Jeep with only 240.000km (not miles) on the clock should go like a clock......but everything breaks down. Two months ago I had to do the do the cylinder head because there was water infiltration in the oil. There is an electrical fault with the injection system no-one finds the problem, there is white smoke coming out of the car when cruising at 100km/h....no-one finds the cause...as soon as you stop, the smoke vanishes like magic??? etc. etc.
I could sell or scrap the vehicle, but I'm thinking of offering it to a museum of worst cars in the world.
and the guy's who own a similar vehicle and are happy with it, please contact me I can send you copies of all the repairs and services that took place. You must be very lucky people if you have no trouble with your thing.
I compare it to my Toyota Prado with 360.000 km...nothing serious went wrong so far. and that Toyota was used far more on "african terrain" than the jeep.

My grandfather retired from the GM plant in Michigan. Talking to him one day about reliability of cars produced he put it into perspective for me. Goes like this: They produced 2,319,833 Cherokees. 1% of that number is 23,198. If there is a 1% failure rate that means there are 23,198 POS's out there. If you or I had a 1% failure rate we would be happy, but if a car manufacturer has a 1% failure rate people complain.
