Exclamation Cherokee door hing

I have an 89 cherokee and I like to have the doors off during the summer in wyoming. I just needed a newer door hinge that will work for simpler removal and putting them back on. Any ideas?

97 and up hinges are easier to quick disconnect.

I think you have that backwards...

The door hinge you have is the same as mine, and they are by far the easiest and simplest to remove.

Huh?
I thought the older style was easier to.
I just open my door, lift it up and it's off.

No tools or pin pulling needed.

Well my doors all have two hinges that have mounting plates with three bolt holes that connect to the door. Any ideas on fabricating an open and lift off style hing?

Don't bother using the search function, no one has ever done this before and explained the process.

Tell you what. After I eat and shower I'll take a ride to work and take a pic of how I did mine.

very easy to do takes maybe 30 MIN with all the tools use the search and you will find all the info you need but in a nutshell.....
un-bolt the doors
cut the lower section of the door side half of the hinge
slide the hinge half off of body half
remove the cut piece stil remaining on the door side half
MAKE SURE TO REMOVE THE COPPER SLIDE IN WHERE THE PIN GOES
You are basically there at this point make sure you read a how to with pictures but that gives you a basic idea of what needs to be done, tools you will need are:
Hammer,Grinder,Pliers,Torx Bit,Welder (for passenger side pin needs to be flipped and welded), PB Blaster, Patients ( always good to have on hand )

Here's mine. There is no shim on mine because somebody welded them to the old one door I replaced..
But the bottom of the shim will need to be notched to make door removal easy.
