This may sound strange but, I'm getting ready to install my CB in a 93 2dr Cherokee. Has anyone found a good mounting location that is out of the way and easy to mount the unit so it can be seen and used on the trail?

 

i mounted my UHF radio in the centre on the ceiling at the front, where that plastic thing is, i had a bracket and screwed it in with the two screws that where holding the pplastic thingy in

I don't have the room between the seats in my Cherokee that you have in your Grand.
Nice build on the Grand though.

Mine is mounted overhead between the sun visors. Even if you don't have the "plastic thingy" there should be bracing there. Press on the head liner in that area and you should be able to feel it. Mines a large radio and it fits and is well supported there.

Had it low on the center console but was concerned it would bet a bath from a drink!

 

jmm0122 I think this is the one. It should be easy to run the wires and antenna cable plus be out of the way.

 

I was going to run mine like 96 xj did but b/c it was such a small cb it fit perfectly.
