thats nice but mounted mine by drivers side tail light. but gotta get new antenna when my new cb gets here. but thanks everyone for the input

When I mounted mine at the time I said higher was better.
And I do get very good receives and output. I put a spring on it so it wont ever break off.
Not the best pic but you see the American flag half way up the antenna?

i got the drivers side mount on mine with a 4 foot firestik, does anybody have the flexible one? i saw it as soon as i bought mine, i was like crap i wish i would have seen that first

Nice work, and a good thought and well executed, except that it ground-planes across the vehicle in the shortest path instead of a longer path like fore-aft.

would anybody be able to post up how they made the mount that goes above your tail light? i am interested in making one but now sure how to go about it
